The Electro Life EL-10A-1 is our self-developed product that utilizes electrolysis technology to powerfully eliminate scale (Scale remover) build-up in cooling towers and circulating water systems (chiller, etc.). (Patents 4214139 and 4644677)
In Thailand, the primary method of scale removal has been chemical treatments. However, due to its limited efficacy, the scales must be physically removed after a certain period. Additionally, given Thailand’s water quality, magnetic and mild electrolysis techniques fail to keep pace with the scale accumulation rate, leading to significant concerns.
The Electro Life EL-10A-1 is designed to maintain the efficiency of heat exchangers, greatly contributing to energy conservation and CO2 emission reduction.
Furthermore, the device is safe to use as it does not cause corrosion or damage to pipes.

- Scale removers can’t assure the complete removal of scales and rusts.
- Scales can build up again over time, so scale removers need to be added periodically. This leads to additional costs to be paid, (including those for additional scale removers and works involved).
- The wastewater treatment facility is required to ensure proper treatment of scale removers.
- Extra expense on the water bill is incurred since scale removers need to be diluted.

What is Electro Life？
Electro Life is an innovation that utilizes unique electrolysis technology to powerfully eliminate scales attached to the recirculating cooling water system such as cooling towers and chillers. It is also capable of preventing scales from building up again.
Thanks to scale removal by Electro Life, cooling towers and chillers can enjoy significantly enhanced heat transfer efficiency. As a result of this, costs of electricity and water bills can be greatly reduced.
Furthermore, Electro Life doesn’t need water treatment chemicals. For this reason, many other costs such as those for chemical feeding and water softeners can be saved. There’s no need for water treatment as well.
When the recirculating cooling water system becomes maintenance-free, cleaning costs will be reduced significantly, and there’s no need to suspend the equipment’s operation.

How to Install Electro Life
It’s surprisingly easy to install the Electro Life device.
Weighing 40 kg, Electro Life is lightweight. It can be relocated without the use of cranes.
There’s no need for pipe cutting as well.
Some of the circulating water from the accumulated water at the base of the cooling tower or from a tank within the circulating system will be drawn into Electro Life via a hose.
On the other hand, water from Electro Life’s outlet will be fed back via hose to the water station. (This establishes a bypass for Electro Life and enables water circulation.)
※Because of this, even if Electro Life stopped functioning due to unforeseeable causes, the operation of the equipment won’t be suspended at all.

This is a case study from the 3rd month of a standalone verification trial of the chemical-free water treatment system “Electro Life” at the Thai factory of world-class clutch manufacturer F.C.C.
Previously, the factory faced a challenge with thick white scale accumulating inside the cooling tower. However, after installation, the power of electrolyzed water promoted the precipitation of calcium carbonate within the pathway. This not only prevented new scale adhesion but also softened and peeled off the existing stubborn scale, cleaning the filler to the point where the original surface was clearly visible.
This trial proved that the internal environment can be significantly improved through daily operation alone, without using chemicals. The client is now positively considering a transition to full-scale operation and formal purchase.

Q&A About Electro Life
Q. What is the most used method for scale removal?
A. The most commonly used method for scale removal is chemical treatment.
However, the use of chemicals can raise environmental concerns, so this method can pose difficulties for factories that are in the process of obtaining ISO14000 certification.
Furthermore, chemicals with stronger scale removal effects can bring about undesirable results such as pipelines getting corroded. We can see that chemical treatment is not the perfect solution for scale removal.
Due to the issues mentioned above, more companies are considering non-chemical water treatment as their method of scale removal.
Q. Can Electro Life remove any kind of scales?
A. Various types of substances can form into scales. Prominent among them are Calcium Carbonate and Silica. By conducting an X-ray analysis on scale shreds discharged from Electro Life, we found the device is capable of removing silica, which is difficult to eliminate in general.
Q. What capacity of equipment can this device be used with？
A. 1 Electro Life device can have optimum performance when used with an open circuit cooling tower with a refrigerating capacity not exceeding 300 tons. （For closed-circuit cooling system, please consult us for further information.）
To be more specific, it’s been verified that when an Electro Life device was installed on equipment with a refrigeration capacity of 100 tons, the pipe’s blockage ratio was greatly reduced from 14% to approximately 2% after 2 months.
Electric Life’s effectiveness can become gradual when used with equipment with more capacity.
Q. How many companies have actually installed Electrolife? I’m concerned about whether it really works.
A. Dozens of companies and organizations in Thailand have already installed Electrolife. For real user experiences, please refer to the customer testimonials above. Many have reported positive effects, such as improved water quality.
Q. If I install Electrolife, will I still need chemicals or a water softener?
